Formula for determining daily fat loss

(Deb) #1

Since going cold turkey off ALL sweeteners, drilling out daily desserts and treats and breaking a year long stall (details in other posts), I figured out a REALLY simple formula for figuring out my daily fat loss. I wanted to not only be able to find it again if I forget ( although it is going up on my wall in VERY LARGE LETTERS!) , but thought it might help others. Here it is:

TDEE

  • fat cals eaten

= cals of body fat used towards TDEE

Ex: (rounded off)
TDEE 1700
fat cals eaten daily 1000
700 cals of body fat used to satisfy TDEE.

1 lb of fat = 3500 cals
If you use those approx 700 cals of bf each day, in a week, you will lose a little over a pound of fat.
