My anti-snacking is better after giving up dairy a week ago.

Well that’s a relief! Even the “olive oil” ones sold in stores has, yup, soybean oil. We have a ginormous tub, and I didn’t want to waste it, so I’m glad it’s OK to use as long it’s within reason and sparingly.

That is interesting. Before, did you snack because you were hungry or because you just wanted to? I’m the latter (well, used to be).

When people say they completely stopped snacking while fasting, on keto, removing dairy — is it because they just are no longer hungry or tempted? Or does your thought process completely get rewired in the name of health?

@Bokchoi. When I was following Dr. Atkins religiously — and he is a god of low carb — he recommended that if you’re Really hungry just eat a teaspoon or so of pure mayonnaise. He never stipulated the brand or oil content.

I understand the inflammatory concerns of various oils. But when does this Keto WOE become sensible and sustainable or fanatical and transient?

And, just how much mayo does one eat for goodness sakes.

 I don’t use a teaspoon - I can tell you that.

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #46

Eat as much mayo-ey goodness as necessary for goodness’ sake, of course!

I was called a grazer by my hubby. I did just that, I ate through the day, unusual to not see me eating. Now. I just don’t think about it. I sometimes see my young children eat croissant or toast and I feel a pang, but I cheated once and regretted it for 3 days. I just reaming myself that my body needs this. My will power on this change of diet has been pretty strong. I’ve tried a few diets and lasted 3-6 weeks. I was starving on other diets. I would say my body has been rewired and no longer requires so much food. Comfort eating has stopped. Boredom eating gone. I no longer finish off my kids dinners. Or pick at food. I feel amazing! I’m naturally on 900-1000calories.
