Food allergies - looking for recipe help

#1

Hello everyone! I’m new here - this is my first post. I am a big fan of the Dudes. I tried low carb and then keto about 5 years ago, but just sort of faded out of it. I think if the 2KetoDudes podcast had been around then, I would have stayed the course.

At any rate, I am interested in recipes without any of at least these common food allergens - eggs, almonds, gluten, coconut flour.

I’ve tried using ground chia seeds in water to substitute for eggs, with varying results. The whole “flour” issue is a pain - I’d love to make Fathead pizza, but I’m stumped. I think I’m going to experiment with oat flour and see if that spikes my blood sugar. I’m not diabetic, but I had many warning signs that I was on the way - 45 lbs of (mostly) abdominal fat, skintags, nerve pain in toes on one foot, low blood sugar events - I’m sure there’s more.

I’m down 20 lbs since Jan (low carb until mid-March, then I went seriously Keto and have been fasting), and don’t want to mess it up! If anyone has suggestions for no-egg, no-almond, no-coconut, no-gluten Fathead Pizza, I’d be very grateful (as well as any other recipes that typically include those ingredients but you’ve worked out substitutes).

Can you please re-title this post with a better description. You really don’t want your email as the title of a public post.

if you need help just let us know.

Thanks
matt

I guess I do need help! I thought I had labeled it “Food Allergens” and that it was under the general Food category.

What did I do wrong?

Ground chicken base? or I just use flattened out chicken thighs pre cooked in the over then just top with whatever I would put on the pizza.

Yes, I can see how that could work. I am hopeful I can make something that comes out at least reminiscent of a “crust,” though…
