Hi guys and girls,
I’ve been doing keto for around 2 weeks now. I woke up today not the least bit hungry, totally not me. So I skipped breakfast, didn’t get hungry until 1. Could I be fat adapted already? Or just not hungry this morning?

Fat adaptation is more a dial than a on/off switch.

Each cell in the body has to adapt, some quicker than others.

Most take 4-6 weeks to adapt enough to a point where hunger goes but some lucky ones can adapt much earlier. All depends on your age, sex, level of exercise, how much carb damage you have done to your body etc etc.

Could also be that you are learning to identify true hunger rather than habitual carb hunger.

If not hungry, don’t eat but have some keto food handy so if that hunger does kick in you are not tempted with carb junk.

Even if you’re not yet fat-adapted, it sounds as though your satiety signaling has kicked in. I’d say go for it: if you feel like that, don’t eat; if you feel hungry, do eat. If you have cravings for sugar/carbs, eat salt and fat.
