First egg fast and soooo tired

(Brenna) #1

I’ve started my first egg fast. I was going to do it for 3-5 days. Not to lose weight per se but to kick out the carbs in my system.

I’ve had tooo many cheat days. grrrrr.

It took more eggs to make me feel satiated than previously thought. Like 5 or 6 instead of 4.

and I’m soooo tired. I can’t even work out. not even close. Ideas?

My suggestion is to stop the egg “fast.” It takes about 48 hours to empty the glycogen stores, there’s no need to subject yourself to this as long as you stick to protein and fat.

yeah, maybe eat carnivore under a caloric deficit the day following?
or personally just fast…

I’ve been having issues with my fasting lately. I feel a bit better now and I still feel incredibly full.

One way to empty muscle & liver glycogen stores is to do HIIT or lift heavy on empty stomach in the morning, i use this technique everytime to kickstart my ketosis and im in ketosis under 24hrs everytime.

What is an eggs fast?

Just curious!

I’m not in shape enough to do HIIT. It’s going to be a while for me.

@atomicspacebunny Its when you eat nothing but fat (butter or mayo) and eggs everyday. I’ve lost 2 pounds so far.

I might have had some stuff I haven’t. I got stricter today.

You can also have 1 oz of cheese every time you eat some eggs.

I can’t lift on a full stomach.

Sounds like a ketogenic diet! :+1:

U exercise on empty stomach in the morning with the explosive power u get from the carbs u ate yesterday (when starting keto) ur body expects u to replenish them but ull eat loads of fat and body has no other option than to force ketosis fast.

Any exercise that gets u sweaty/gasping for air will do, even if its walking. U can also fast thru it if u like.

I did workout today. It was good but tired as I usually need a nap and didn’t get one.
