Finding local groups?

How would I find out if there’s any type of meet up group around Portland, Maine or advice on starting one?

One way is to go to the meetup.com site and type in “keto”, “LCHF”, “low carb”, etc, to see if there are any in your target city.

Ironically, I just left a keto meet up group. Their only activity was getting together once a month at a restaurant–no science, no tips, no ideas, no activity on their site. Nothing. Crickets. Thank goodness for Ketogenic Forums.

I realize this is an old thread, but if you are still interested I actually just started a meetup group for the Portland Maine area!
