Finally

After five months of keto, the tape measure around my waist line budged … a little. I was beginning to think that every number on the darned thing was 40. Only explanation I could come up with for it refusing to change. This morning I checked it on a whim … and my waist line measured a “svelte” 39 1/2 inches.

I’m what some call a “tofi” … 5 years ago had a 32" waist line. Packed away several pounds of visceral fat. Had a dexa-scan a week ago and found out I still have a lot of visceral fat … even after losing a little over 20# between South Beach (started late last year) and keto (started march of this year). Probably 10# was the whoosh/water weight from starting South Beach.

Anyway … I’ve seen 2 inches disappear from my neck, my butt is disappearing, lost something in my lower chest (didn’t measure that particular area but can now button a suit jacket). My waist has remained big (for me) and very stubborn.

It budged !!! Only 1/2 inch … but it finally moved. Long way to go … but it moved !!!

It is nice to see progress, whether in numbers (bloodwork) or looking down at that scale… the NSVs are what can keep us positive in the in-between times… Good work!
