What is a keto carb?

@Jacob4Jesus carbs that fall within keto guidelines such as broccoli , almond flour and including the sugar alcohols such as erythritol. To my mind it is any carb that we talk about in our regular eating. To some extent it could include some of the super starches but I havn’t n=1 this much yet. It is not a IFYM thing so no sugar, white flour etc.

So by making a pie with these ingredients and having a single slice- no big deal. Having cranberry no big deal. Having as many servings as I did, perhaps for some.

(What The Fast?!) #24

FWIW, I had major issues getting above 0.5 for the first 3-5 months. The only thing that would do it were long training sessions (2+ hours) or fasting for 24+ hours. I recently switched to a more fasting focused lifestyle (I fast more than I eat, doing mainly 36-48 hr fasts with one longer (60+ hrs) each week and I’m ALWAYS in ketosis now with very high numbers (2.0-5.0 usually). I can even eat some higher carb foods and maintain. For me, I had to make that switch for my body to truly adapt. I went on a 9 day trip recently where I did only IF and OMAD with a lot of activity (skiing) and while I didn’t check for ketosis that whole time, I didn’t gain any weight. I feel like my body has finally truly adapted but it took some legit fasting to get there.
