Feeling wired?

#1

Hello,

Asking on behalf of my husband- he’s been doing keto since August 2018. He has lost most of the weight he wanted (35lbs Down, is now approx 180 at 6ft).

He has lately been feeling tired but also wired. And has had at least one instance of palpitations. He doesn’t take supplements, I’m wondering if he should. He’s 37.

He fasts a bit - only up to 24 hrs max once a week, mostly 16:8.

Might be some things to consider here:

@Baarb Your husband doesn’t have to supplement if he is geting all the vitamins and minerals he needs from his food. That worked for me for five months before I got tired of eating leafy greens regularly. A faster heart rate and occasional palpitations convinced me to try magnesium citrate and the heart rate went back to normal.

@KBG I love the idea of that chart… but a few things I notice that stand out.

Muscle cramps happen to me when I’m low on sodium.

Magnesium corrects my palpitations and heart rate.

Sodium also helps with constipation.

Not that Berg’s suggestions are incorrect… just that there could be other reasons than he lists.

I agree. I thought the same thing. I’d prefer if it was more complete. But I just happened to run across it the other day and it gave some good ones that I didn’t know.
I was actually looking for the question about feeling wired. I ran into that the other day too and thought maybe it was on there but it’s not. So unfortunately I can’t remember. I think it was either sodium or vitamin B, but just not sure…
