Feeling hungry for the first time

this morning, 10am ish… right now! feeling hungry for the first time since I have started this on Jan 13. In those 5.5 weeks I have only gone down 6.5lbs

not sure WHY I am hungry now, and still have 1.5 hrs to go till lunch. wondering if I should go get a quest bar, net carbs 7 to tide me over or just ‘tough it out’…

If you’re hungry then yes you should eat :grin: listen to your body. Some people may give you flack about the quest bars but they worked for me.

If I get that hungry that close to mealtime I would wait it out but make sure I have an adequate meal at that time

If it was not close to mealtime I would eat

Also water, Coffie or Tea helps me in between meals, If necessary I add some heavy cream, Butter or Coconut oil depending on needs

I think it was my error as I skipped the avocado on my chaffles this am… so had hardly any fat at all

Hunger is normal, even at unusual times, we aren’t robots…
I probably would eat right away but it depends on the circumstances, of course. If it’s not very bad, waiting may be an options especially if it’s the only chance for a nice, proper meal. But a few bites still can work, it’s probably individual. If I start eating, I usually need to eat the most part of my daily calories, my hunger works that way. But if I focus and use some fatty meat, a pre-meal has some chance too. Or HWC in my coffee. But a real meal is better. And I ate 125g HWC around noon and don’t want to do it again in the near future… Proper food is better but each to their own.

7g net carbs are so much, I surely wouldn’t spend it on snack. Carbs make me hungry anyway. But it’s me, your woe should suit yourself. And I have my less ideal items when I fancy them, it’s not necessarily a problem.

yes, but I am at work and the choices that are keto friendly are extremely limited. All the previous work days, I was satisfied right until the next meal period. My error totally on this mornings breakfast

Don’t get a quest bar. Just eat

@Terrim, are you sure it is hunger and not thirst wearing a hunger beard?
I have listened to a few podcasts lately that says when you body says “I’m hungry” it is often thirsty or salt-deficient, and a shot of salt and glass of water fixes it. If you are still getting the hunger message after that, then eat.

it might have been salt…not lack of water for sure though!
