By the 1st day of February diet-related New Year’s resolutions have been but distant memories in recent years. However I eased into Keto in early Jan and have been pretty solidly keto ever since with no plans to drop it.
So my non-scale victory is sticking with something! Not that it’s been difficult. Hunger wise I’m fine. I’m still practicing being out in the real world and have occasionally slipped up in restaurants - no obvious carbs or sugar - but a few unexpected hidden ones. I’ve celebrated by overcoming my blood related wimpery and have ordered an Abbott Freestyle glucose meter and some ketone strips to test my tolerances.
Trousers are a bit looser, the spare tyre is slightly less inflated, and I’m 5kg down. Here’s to another month!
