Fatigue even after 2 weeks

Yikes, large amounts of magnesium is what one takes to prepare for a colonoscopy

My wife and I take about 500mg of magnesium in our daily drinking water bottles - which is excellent to keep one’s digestion system running smoothly without the carbs - but too much magnesium does NOT produce a happy ending.

So glad you’ve managed to identify some of what’s been happening.

The packets only have 250 mg magnesium. The ultima powder only has 125 mg magnesium.

Dr. Price packets have 200 mg sodium and 330 mg of potassium while the Ultima powder only has 250 mg potassium and 55 mg sodium.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. And thus, never-mind… that difference is close to rounding error in the scheme of a significant laxative effect!

@Tielamwheeler Have you thought of mixing your own electrolyte to whatever specs you want? I use Redmond Real Salt (sodium), French’s No Salt (potassium) and epsom salt (magnesium) in these proportions: 5:4:1. Example: 50 grams Real Salt, 40 grams No Salt and 10 grams epsom salt. For me that makes a 10 day supply at 10 grams per day. I also mix Himalayan pink salt in water: 10 grams per liter. I drink anywhere from 1/2 to 1 liter daily.

Interesting idea… thanks. Will stash this away for future consideration. Currently, I simply add Redmond salt and magnesium citrate for daily hydration. Perhaps potassium is worth a closer look.

@SomeGuy Joey, I just corrected a typo in my previous post: Example: 5 grams Real Salt, 4 grams No Salt and 1 gram epsom salt. > Example: 50 grams Real Salt, 40 grams No Salt and 10 grams epsom salt.

That’s significant!

Excellent, got it. Thanks!

Thanks, I’ll tuck that away for later. For now, as a single working Mom of 2 (with one of those having PKU and requiring an extremely restricted diet,) I try to keep my diet simple. Most of the people who quit Keto that I know quit because it becomes too time consuming or expensive. (Yes, no carb foods are expensive compared to McDonald’s and ramen since someone pointed out how they thought it was weird that it became expensive for me last time lol) The Dr Price’s packets work great for on the go! And, since I have switched back, I’m already feeling a difference. I was able to just complete 1hr of cardio and I feel great! I also had bone broth this morning with added salt so that helps too.

I def eat enough

But I was drained and dazed for 3 weeks 4th week was up and down some days so full of energy and others in the ground nothing in between
