I’m a newbie and I just wondered what fatbombs are…

#2

they are little treats made up of totally fats and many times fake sugars

(Erica Ramirez) #3

I’ve tried to make a couple but they weren’t good…can a sugar free mini Reese’s cup count as a fat bomb?

(Allie) #4

Watch out for the maltitol they’re loaded with…

#5

probably a bad idea, but wrong person to ask i avoid everything sweet or fake sweet

snacking is in my book a complete no no , but in first 4 weeks maybe required

Fat bombs don’t have to be sweet. They can be savory. They also don’t have to be used as snacks. They can be added to the end of a meal for a “dessert.”

The sweet ones will all use Keto approved sugar substitutes like Stevia or erythritol, but you’ll find many people here still believe it spikes their insulin, so they swear off it altogether.

I have no idea if it spike my insulin or not, but will take Dr. Fung’s word for it that it does. I will not eat them I do not trust the agencies that claim them to be safe

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #10

I have reason to suspect that the stevia/erythritol blend I’ve been using has been spiking my insulin. Having cut it out a few days ago, I seem to be losing weight slowly again.
