Fat Head Noodles

(Dave Wells) #1

Has anyone tried to make noodles out of the fat head dough? It seems that you could roll it out, cut it into linguine type noodles, and boil instead of bake. I’m thinking about trying this, but wonder if anyone has any success or failure with this idea in the past before I get too excited about it.

That sounds delicious as a sort of gnocchi.

You definitely need to do this and report back!

I have made “gnocchi” out of a fathead-like dough. Pretty good, and even my non-keto housemates liked them.

I am curious myself. If it works, this could be life changing!

I’d like to see how that turns out…

I literally teared up at this post. With fall and winter coming I was feeling sad about missing out on my 2 favorite soups. Both involved thicker pasta/dumplings. This solves every thing!

I think I’m going to give this a try and will report back to let you all know how it turns out. If anyone else makes an attempt, please report back as well. I’m thinking that this should work, but it may take some testing to get it down right.

Not fat head dough but these tend to hit the spot for me when I’m craving noodles: http://lchfdiva.com/2015/01/delicious-faux-egg-noodles-recipe-lchf/

I add some oregano too.
