Thoughts on fat fasting?
Fat fasting?
I think you’ll easily lose weight doing it if that’s your goal. I do water fasting because I’m primarily going for autophagy and the weight loss is a wonderful icing on the cake.
Have done some fat fasts. Sometimes I have trouble sticking to them, more so than a water/HWC coffee fast. Sometimes I find them much easier and barely feel like I am fasting. I tend to lose the same amount on a fat fast as a water/HWC coffee fast. Lately planned fasts have not been appealing so I have been mostly doing unplanned 24 hour ones. I am about 7 months into keto
It works. The key is to lower insulin. There are many different ways to do this and they work. When I started on my journey, I was eating coconut oil only for days. I wasn’t really hungry so I skipped meals. I lost 50 pounds in 3 months…5 pounds a week then I plateaued.
Amazing! Did you only eat coconut oil or did you have other foods? Did it screw up your bm’s?
I ate the coconut oil with other things like beef jerky. I ate 2 spoonfuls at a time. If I ate more then I would be on the toilet for .5 hours or so. My blood pressure went from 140/90 to 120/70. That was awesome.
