Fasted for 2 days, drank tiny bit of grapejuice...have I messed everything up?

Hey everyone

So i’ve been doing a waterfast for 2 days, was going great but by drinking 3L of water each day.
Weight was 105.6KG, day 3 now i’m at 102.3…so i’m happy so far with the excess coming off, but
I’m worried I may have screwed up the full Ketogenic state I was aiming to go for by 3rd day.

I became quite lightheaded before I went to bed last night, all i drank was water…so before I went to bed I drank 100ml of grape juice and a while later I felt fine. Though i’m worried I may have triggered my body somehow to not go full Keto mode during the fast because I consumed the calories.

My fast is for 10 days (ending 8th Jan) so I’m a;ready this and I really want to finish this.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You’ll be fine. You can’t screw up fasting. You’ll burn through that sugar and glycogen in a few hours. I would recommend keeping bone broth handy in case you need emergency drink again. And if you don’t feel well, stop. It’s not worth comprised health just to lose weight. You can get a lot of the fasting benefits from intermittent fasting. Most research is showing the most hgh and cell benefits occur in 3 days. There is evidence in Russia and Europe of long fast cures, especially for psychological disorders, but I’ve had trouble finding too many benefits for the average person that you can’t get in a few days. So, just quit if feeling unwell. I’ve had to work my way to longer fasts over time

The difficult part is getting over the hump and continuing despite the desire to eat. You were just punishing yourself over the small things. Good luck

You’re probably becoming light headed because you’re flushing out electrolytes with the 3L of water you’re drinking. Add minerals to your water, especially salt. Check out the thread on making keto lemonade.
