Exercise

I am starting week four. I know extreme exercise is advised against until one gets fat adapted, but what about going for a walk and using light weights. I am feeling good, and want to keep my arms toned as I lose weight.

Yes, try to move. Just don’t over do it. Walks are great. It’s cardio that you should scale back on, but walking at an 18-20 min/mile pace won’t put your heart rate up into cardio levels.

Yes keep active, it’ll help the process

exercise helps improve insulin resistance and speed up fat adaptation.

Don’t push yourself when first starting out and build up.

I was exercising before starting keto 3 months ago, I didn’t compromise the exercise schedule in any way, fasted, not fasted, blah blah blah. Today I do 3 whole body lifting sessions, 60 minutes each, 4 30 minute cardio sessions on an original Airdyne and walk 5-6 miles a day 5 days a week. That activity is 30% of estimated calories burned day to day.
