Episode #68 - Treating Cancer with Dr. Nasha Winters

(carl) #1

Carl Franklin @carl and Richard Morris @richard talk to Oncologist Dr. Nasha Winters about her experiences treating cancer using, in part, a ketogenic diet. The somewhat simplified idea is that many tumors can be shrunk significantly, sometimes to the point where they are no longer a threat, by starving them of their primary fuel: glucose. Cancer is the next frontier for the ketogenic diet and fasting.

Hey Carl,
It’s pronounced pokay or pok eh.

Hawaiian has no long or short vowel pronunciation, so the’e’ is always pronounced ‘eh’.

Yep. I discovered that after I hit the publish button. Language is a virus. The waiter who served it to me called it poke. Should have done my homework.
