Im tired of stall.im going to do egg fast for 5 days .my question is can u add say onion to a scrambled egg.salsa? Or just steictly what menu is?

I’ve been thinking about doing an egg fast myself for awhile now. I just have not yet taken the plunge.

I decided to try that this week. I just hard boiled 3 dozen eggs for egg salad and snacks, if I need any. I plan to scramble the rest.
I like eggs, so hopefully I can do it for a week. I will come back with my results. I have been stuck on a plateau for months, so I wanted to give this a try.

I started today.i did 3 devilled eggs for brunch n 1 cheese string …i combined first snack with 3 eggs.i had 3 eggs boiled thats why i did devilled eggs.tomorrow ill start scrambled eggs.
Weighed myself at 285.8
Will not weigh until next sunday.infact i put scale away
Today was day 1. I had egg salad (3 eggs plus 3 TBSP mayo) for breakfast and lunch and 4 eggs scrambled in 2 TBSP butter and 2 TBSP bacon grease plus one ounce of cheese.
I forgot that eggs give me gas, so I upped the digestive enzymes to see if that helps with that.
So i had to do day 1 today because i wanted bbq hamburger n fried onions.
I did 3 fried eggs in butter.
1 cheese string
3 boiled eggs dipped in mustard
1 cheese string
Buffalo omelet
2 cheese strings
I really wish we could have fat bombs …but i drank coffee n water instead.
I hope that this works well for both of you. I don’t really like eggs that much. I can eat some once in a while; and more often as hard-boiled. The only sugar free mayonnaise I have been able to find is the Avocado one.
They said if you have had your gallbladder removed, it is not advisable to do an Egg Fast anyway, so it is just as well I am not a big egg fan I guess.
I read another Fat Fast where all you eat is 1 package of cream cheese a day max, I might try that one soon =).

Day 2 same as yesterday, except 3 eggs scrambled for dinner with 2 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp bacon grease.
It looks like I lost 4 pounds since yesterday. I hope this continues. I am not hungry either.
I don’t have a gallbladder and I do have issues with the fat when I eat a bunch at once. I started taking bile salts and it does help, but probably not as effective as my own bile. Since it is just one week, I figure I can get through it.
This is awesome, Laura =). I am doing the 72 hour cream cheese “Fast” atm but keeping the eating window to my 20/4 still. I ate cream cheese only for lunch and for supper, I hope to have success too.
Good luck, I am tempted to look into the egg one again. How did you find sugar free mayonnaise? I cannot find any.
I’m not sure if it’s available where you live but I use Dukes mayo. It has zero sugar
I read all the jars in Walmart, and all of them had sugar. I have never heard of Dukes. I just looked it up online and it doesn’t seem to be available in Canada.
I buy an Avocado Mayo in Costco, it is sugar free and I use it, but it is a small jar and expensive so I was just wondering. Thanks, I guess I am stuck with my Avocado one for now.
Sadly, I am using Hellman’s, which isn’t the best. It does list sugar, even though 1 tbsp has 0 carbs. I have bought Paleo Kitchen mayo, which is better.
I used to be able to find pasteurized eggs and make my own. For this experiment, I just went with the Hellman’s. If I do this again, I’ll get a better mayo solution.
How are you finding the cream cheese? I love the stuff and I eat it plain just because I love it. I don’t know how I would feel eating only cream cheese.
Probably the 72 hour limit is the way to go.

So far, so good. I just finished a 72 hour fast from Thursday-Sunday; so I didn’t know if this was too soon to do that again, so decided to try with the Cream Cheese, so I was doing a Fat Fast but getting calories =). I don’t weigh myself often due to my past with eating disorders and obsession with the scale… =).
I will look on Amazon to see if I can find some sugar free Mayonnaise, thanks =).
I find it really hard to find commercial mayo without seed oils. I made my own pasteurized eggs for my homemade mayo, so it will keep linger in the fridge this time. I hope.
Day 3. Same food as day 2 and looks like I bounced up 2 pounds. This is the pattern; I lose weight and get close to the high 230’s and then the next day, I bounce right back up to the high 240’s. My body does not want to be too far below 250.
I am not hungry at all and am sure that I am in ketosis. I will stick with it through Friday and see what happens.
As much as I do like eggs, it is hard to eat them for every meal.
That is frustrating that you gained some back =(. Maybe it is better to wait to weigh yourself until the end of the fast? The water you drink can impact the scales too. When I weigh myself, I usually try to do it in the morning, before drinking anything.
During this, I am not weighing until Friday morning; even though I am breaking the fast at 5pm supper tomorrow, I want to wait until the morning, because I drink tons and tons of water.
