Eating patterns shifted today

I found this interesting. Woke up at 5:30 am, but wasn’t hungry for breakfast until almost 9 am! Then wasn’t hungry again for lunch until 2 pm, so that’s when I ate. Had dinner around 6 pm, but couldn’t finish it all. I was full! And there wasn’t a huge amount of food on my plate either.

Keto has totally turned the concept of dieting on its head for me. I am pleasantly surprised. I mean, yesterday for dinner, we had some yummy steak that DH grilled. I had a LOT of it. And this morning when I got on the scale, it said I had lost 0.6 lb from the day before. Shut the front door, really?!

Say hello to how your hormones are supposed to behave. Cutting out the carbs and eating whole foods means we aren’t hungry every 3-4 hours and that’s a concept that most of the processed food mongering world has never experienced. The same point you are at right now was the moment when I realized how naive I was about nutrition.

Feels good, doesn’t it? That clean, accurate signal of hunger is one of the genuine marvels of keto. Get used to only eating when you feel hungry!
