Eat Rich, Live Long book by Ivor Cummins

I’ve had a KETO breakdown and am currently off KETO but trying to stay low carb.
I’m actually feeling much better after one week off so far. I think this is mostly due to less mental stress and cortisol from backing down on exercise as well.
If it’s of interest to anyone I may log my journey off keto and possibly back on. I don’t need to lose weight, just maintain where I am and get the benifits of keto and avoid the damage of refined foods.

So before I had my KETO breakdown I had ordered Ivor Cummins book Eat Rich, Live Long.
It arrived while I was away working in France.
I’ve started reading it and hope it will be the key and motivation to get me back on track, and back on track correctly.
My previous KETO WOE I kinda fell into it with no real guidance except from watching you tube vids by various people and basing my macros on 75/80%F <10% net carbs, rest Protein.
I loved my salads and veg, and tried to keep them HFLC, thought I was doing so but I feel I was not so well fat adapted as I was always mostly tired and the high triyglycerides would indicate I was not using them for energy. Could be other issues causing that but I’m hoping when I get to the end og Ivors book I will have a better plan to adhere to.

I’d be interested in other readers comments, but to date I’m only 35 pages in or so but looking forward to the guidance to getting back on track with most importantly for me low triglycerides on the next blood test. all being well.

I might be wrong, but don’t high trigs go with the keto early on?

I’ve bought four copies so far (including one for my doctor). Haven’t tried the recipes yet, but dang, they look pretty good. I found Chapter 11 on cholesterol of particular interest; especially since I was unfamiliar with how lipids function. Like most of us who continues to use invectives like “bad” when describing LDL, I have much to learn.

By “go with” do you mean disappear? Three months in and my trigs tested at 56. (Any measure below 150 is good.) My previous low was 94.

If I recall that’s mainly due to trigs stored body fat, as that is released for energy, the triglycerides are released to be used. I was 10 months in and a steady 54 kilos for maybe 2 months and at 14 months when I had my last high tgig reading. Still 54 kilos,.
Im just resetting and will most likely start again in a month or two
