Here are the tests for two individuals, testing these common ideas–one in a person who identifies as being Insulin Resistant and one who is believed to be Insulin Sensitive.
During IF/EF, will ____ in my coffee knock me out of Ketosis?
But aren’t the increased ketones just wasted ketones, or are you burning your own fat??
K
EXACTLY (my opinion).
Ketones in the blood pretty much just means you are producing them - I think you should only be concerned if darn near zero.
This kind if mico-measuring does not make sense to me - kind of letting perfect ruin good.
If coffee in the morning lets you skip breakfast but, for a few moments you dip below some magical number you think is “out of ketosis” - well, I’d stick with skipping breakfast anyway.
Same with the other way around, if you’re having 4 cups of coffee around 8 AM and it is making you hungry, the fact that you happened to stay in ketosis wouldn’t be a good reason keep having so much coffee each day.
Think of the big rocks - skip the little rocks.
