Dry ageing steak at home?

(Norma Laming) #1

I was just wondering if anyone has used these bags to dry age steak at home? They seem to be variations in the US and the UK.it looks good to me.I have a vacuum machine that seals bag so I think I might be able to use that with fees.though there does seem to be a little sort of Taghee putting to help with the ageing process.

Has anyone tried them? I’m not sure the link works properly, sorry!

I am going to look into this. Dry aging really increases the flavor. And the dry sausage making looks great.

Here are a couple pics. I ended up going 35 days total last time before I got impatient. The time I did 55 days was the best. The bags are amazing. I do suggest paying a few more bucks for at least Choice beef though because some of the Select and ungraded stuff can be pretty lousy quality.
