Does anyone know if doterra EOs affect sugar levels or create an insulin response? do they have carbs?

i have been drinking water with tangerine or lemon EO as a way to drink more water and i was wondering if i could use them freely for this and also for cooking and baking.

thanks!!!

Since it’s an essential oil I really doubt that there’s any carbohydrates. If they have a positive effect on you then I say go ahead. I don’t know any specific info about how it will affect your health, it’s depending on the type oil of course.

Do you know if it’s pure essential oil or is it mixed with another oil as a carrier, to dilute the intensity and make it cost effective? Some essential oils are quite potent. :cowboy_hat_face:

It’s a pure EO, for topical use they actually advice you to dilute it with fractionated coconut oil. It’s very strong when you ingest it straight. I’ve been taking two drops of peppermint when I have keto breath, and I dilute 1 or 2 drops in a 27 oz water bottle for tea or for flavor.

I use orange, lemon and lime zest in cooking and that’s essentially essential oils. I don’t see any problem with this. :man_cook:t3:. :cowboy_hat_face:
