On the horizon there appears to be a shortage of olive oil looming, which will result in shortages and thus inflated prices.
I use extra virgin olive oil for many things including low temp frying and dressings, and also light olive oil (a blend of refined olive oil and virgin olive oils) for frying at higher temperatures.
I’ve ordred up 5 litres of Mild light olive oil for frying, 1.5 litres of Greek organic extra virgin olive oil, 1 litre of organic extra virgin coconut oil and 2 x 285g jars of grass fed beef dripping to top up my existing stocks. Although I think I may have acted too late to avoid some inflationary costs…but are the costs to escalate further? In which case I’d order even more.
Has anyone noticed the prices of these products creeping up yet?
