Do you use artificial sweetners?

In August I am going strict keto with no weekend cheats until at least Thanksgiving.

I have a weakness for Coke Zero and some Zero Jello may be nice while giving up everything else.

Is there any evidence or speculation that these substance would interfere with fat adaption?

It looks like Coke zero uses aspartame. From a small amount of research, it looks like this does not affect insulin or glucose. It’s probably okay, as long as it doesn’t cause cravings.

Aspartame does not spike insulin, but it does form some formaldehyde in the body. Further, there are some studies indicating that consumption of artificial sweeteners can increase appetite about as much as sugar - so if you notice feeling hungry, this may be the culprit. I use stevia, monk fruit, xylitol, allulose, etc, but I don’t seem to notice much in the way of hunger spikes.

Never once had an issue, and if you’re not eating carbs, you’re not going to (not) burn fat because you consume aspartame.

I seriously depended on sweet desserts when I started keto (in order to keep my carbs low enough but I have a sweet tooth anyway and a dessert habit) and my fat adaptation arrived after 7 weeks.
I only use erythritol and xylitol, I hate the aftertaste of the super sweet sweeteners.

Very many ketoers use sweeteners. I have heard about various problems regarding sweeteners, never interference with fat adaptation.
