Discovered new Costco product

I’ve been doing a ton of yard work, trying to undo years of neglect, so I haven’t had time to do the food prep I normally do.

So I’m always happy when I find something that works with Keto and is effortless but looks and taste like a nice meal.

I saw these at Costco. Less than 1g carb per steak. Hubby threw them on the BBQ and I sautéed up some zucchini. Topped it all with kerrigold and a few tablespoons of Costco bacon bits onto the zucchini.

I had plenty of room in both my tummy and macros for some almond butter topped dark chocolate.

They look super yummy

They were pretty good, even if my hubby slightly over cooked them.

I like medium rare!

Yeah, that’s what we were going for, but it ended up medium well.
My husband’s a wonderful man and great at many things, but grilling is not one of them.

Freezer section in Costco has some nice hidden keto meals. The real wild caught salmon is in there, I cant say enough about it (portioned into 5-7oz individual vac sealed servings). They also have frozen burger patties that are nice for quick suppers when you don’t have a real plan. Happens when life gets in the way.

Yes. This is a super busy time for us because my son does travel baseball, so finding things like this keeps me sane.
I also bought the frozen sausage patties at 1g carb per patty. Of course people will take issue with its ingredients and say make your own to avoid all the bad stuff, but right now it’s a matter of convienience to stay on Keto diet. When things calm down I’ll make more from scratch again.

No criticism from me, that’s for sure. Do the things that put yourself in a position to succeed. Improving your health is not 1 good decision, its the repeated good/tough decisions. The freezer is the keto version of a pantry.

I am not that great either, but I’m getting better, bought a thermometer off amazon for like $10-15 and use that at intervals to check on them

For the most part it’s probably small traces of the ingredients that wouldn’t make a huge difference. Biggest thing I avoid is maltodextrin because it’s been shown to be worse than sugar on insulin. Most things aren’t going to hinder much or at all in small doses. I wouldn’t stress it at all.

OMG! Thank you for this! I am going to find this today!!! I love Costco. Their Applewood smoked bacon is to die for.

Haven’t seen those at our Costco but we did score bacon wrapped scallops. They were really nice.

I am used to doing my own steak wrapping, even do shrimp wrapped in bacon. Staples at our place now.

I want to hear more about the almond butter topped dark chocolate

(Mark) #14

Grass-fed, by chance???

(LeeAnn Brooks) #15

As it wasn’t featured on the label, I’d have to wager no.
