Difference between Satiety and Feeling Full

What’s your definition?

For me, satiety is getting to the point where you feel SATISFIED/not hungry.

Feeling full is fitting in as much as you can until your stomach bloats and stretches out and physically feeling off, then comes the ‘tired’…

I am 3 days in and I think I understand the difference now.
I ate a LOT of fat for lunch and 3/4 through my mind nagged me to stop and ask how full I felt. I didn’t eat the rest of my lunch. That hasn’t happened in YEARS.

You said it imho

Satiety …to the point of being satisfied like you said

“ been there done that feeling, Time to move in “

For me, once my body is getting to that full or possible bloated feeling…that she my trigger to stop
Halt!!

“ nothing more to see or eat here “

There’s always that fine line…some days can be easier than the day b4

That’s just this WOE experience and journey
 love it

Good Luck and welcome aboard

To me satiety is, “How good does that next bite/meal sound?” If it’s meh, I can usually say I don’t need to keep eating. If I ignore meh then I’ll regret it when I make an attempt to overeat. The other day I had steak, 4 eggs scrambled with cheese, sausage, ham, bacon, all covered in butter. I was down to maybe 4 bites of scrambled egg. I was definitely already feeling sated but, didn’t want to just throw it out. So, I ate it. And regretted it. I wasn’t hungry for a day and a half after that.

At three days esp if you were a carb burner IMHO you will only understand full, you are most likely still being driven by hormones and timing cycles from insulin. I would say it took me at least a month to understand it basically. When I became fat adapted it really took on a new meaning. I am not saying you are not understanding, I think you may be just not there yet. Give it some time. For the longest time it took me about 20 minutes into a meal to figure I was full or even past full. Sometimes that lead to disaster. When I started to IF it became much easier to understand without really thinking about it.

For me satiety is what I feel after I have eaten a meal that is either really routine and near my guides or when I have a good idea when to stop based on past experience. The feeling is much better than full its peaceful happy, muted, quiet.

I would compare the feeling of over full(stuffed to capacity) to a crash landing oh god what have I done, full(bloated, tired) to a hard landing, and satiety to a soft landing.

That is so fucking weird, isn’t it! I remember having a bursting stomach and still wanting more. Not finishing a meal—it’s been a year, and I’m still getting used to it, lol! :bacon:

People are right, it definitely is an odd feeling, and not craving carbs… it’s a miracle lol.
