Does anybody know of diclofenac gel will spike insuline and get me out of ketose?

I don’t know - I doubt it - but being in pain is absolutely not a good thing, so I think I’d just go ahead and use the gel.

Sorry not to know the science - perhaps someone else will be along in a minute!

I found this one: (but not recent)

Neither the blood glucose profiles of the individual patients nor those of the two above-mentioned groups showed any alterations of blood glucose concentration. Diclofenac sodium, a non-steroidal antirheumatic drug, may be recommended in the treatment of rheumatic diseases in diabetics.

Is “maturity onset diabetes” Type I or Type II? I do wish the researchers would keep the terminology consistent, regardless of its inaccuracies. . . . :frowning:

I would accept “β-cell autoimmune disease” and “carbohydrate intolerance” as substites, however.

(B-cell autoimmune disease is really BAD, by the way.) You really don’t want to be BAD or CARBI!

It should work only topically so you should be good :).

Thanks! But no official research?

A quick search on PubMed shows 241 titles in English on diclofenac 5%. Happy hunting!
