It pains me to say, when your oven dies, it really is a kitchen disaster. I was mid-bake of my batch cooking of seed crackers when she passed away.
However, it is an opportunity to go browsing through the local home electrical store for a new family member. So many to choose from! At this stage, I didn’t want to go for the high end Miele steam oven, or the super pyrolytic ones, but instead got a Bosch regular type for AUD$700. I am awaiting delivery now, like an expectant mother!
