Headache is a symptom of low sodium. You remember that our kidneys excrete more sodium in the absence of carbohydrate, right? This is why we always advise keeping your salt intake up when you start a ketogenic diet. That, and the fact that recent research has shown that we need a lot more salt in our diet than is currently recommended by the U.S. government. So get more salt, okay?
