Creatine suppliment

I’ve read that creatine is popular for keto. I was thinking that since creatine is an energy source for muscles then wouldn’t the body burn that instead of fat? My only thought was that creatine is used for anaerobic activities like heavy without lifting or sprints etc that don’t use fat for energy like aerobic activitiesdo. Thoughts?

It’s doesn’t provide energy but it does aid in recovery. It’s also naturally occurring in your body and in fresh meat.

Creatine is not an energy supplement. It volumizes the water retention in muscles. It won’t hurt you but expect some water weight gain.

In itself it is not for energy but does convert ADP back to ATP which is the muscles primary energy source.

I think it is most beneficial for the very short-term stuff like high-intensity, limited repitions weight-lifting, maybe slightly faster first couple steps on a basketball court, etc. Have also read that it can boost tostesterone levels. It has a big ‘name’ now and suffers from the “magic pill” thing where people want more and better effects than what it will actually deliver.
