Use more. Your body wants it for a reason. I’ve been loading up lately, too. Last night was the first night in several that I felt well-hydrated, and I think it’s because I’ve been drinking 40-60 ounces of @Brenda ‘s keto-aide along with my regular water.

Have you increased your sodium? i was doing Keto, got off, and now I’m back on. First time I would cramp also, I increased sodium and took a magnesium, calcium & potassium supplement and that helped. Is your supplement just magnesium?

Yes! And I do think my potassium is low!! Just got a supplement to see if it helps! IT’S A HORSE PILL!!!

i need a salt lick…

Use Lite Salt - it’s half potassium. That’s what I use when seasoning my plate.

Yeah they are huge, lol

Try drinking some broth before you go to bed, that would definitely give you salt.

I got large pink himalayan salt crystals off amazon and suck on them like candy some times.

Salt is your friend on keto. Your body retains less water, which flushes salt out of your system. I even put salt in my coffee.

Also… my blood pressure was super low today at a physical- thry kept retaking it… highest was 89/52… :-0

Is that bad? I feel fine other than wanting salt…

I keep a salt shaker on my desk and I will just tip my head back several times a day and give my tong a good sprinkle of pink Himalayan. I also have a big jar of coconut oil that I scoop with a spoon, lavish with salt, and then let slowly dissolve in my mouth.

Crave salt? Eat salt.

When I started Keto, I’d eat boullion cubes. Better than pieces of chocolate.

Anyone find a limit to this? I found that during my first week my electrolytes were out of whack and started supplementing salt - pinch of pink Himalayan 2-3 times a day in water. At first it was great, but I found I was getting a tight chest and extremity tingling after a day or two.

When I decreased my salt intake I actually ended up feeling much much better. Guessing my case is one of either overdoing it or abit more sensitivity to high salt. Its also possible I crested the purge water flu stage and my body was ready for a more moderate amount of sodium?

Right now I just use bone broth, eat fatty salty bacon and other meats, and haven’t had an issue since. I’m going into week 4, so not an expert but I keep scratching my head about salt intake and supplementing…
