Count calories?

(Heather Meyer) #121

haha… i dont know bout you but im not even arguing… i just think its great comversation

(Running from stupidity) #122

You really need to read the thread

(Heather Meyer) #123

oh i did… the difference is… im not arguing…everyone else around me might be…

(Empress of the Unexpected) #124

I think this thread is bad for newbies! I thought it was going to be closed.

(Jane) #125

Fair enough.

I don’t need to argue or be convinced. I just wish I had found keto when I was in my 30’s instead of (rapidly diminishing) 50’s.

But hey - better late than never!!!

(Running from stupidity) #126

+100000000

(Running from stupidity) #127

That was floated as a suggestion. TBH, I don’t think it’s bad, really. There are some well-articulated responses.

(Jane) #128

I know, right???

I was hitting up my local grocery store today… walking at a brisk pace with no risk of my jeans catching on fire since my thighs don’t rub anymore!

And there was a very overweight man in a motorized cart in the parking lot and he had an oxygen bag strapped to his back with the tubes in his nose.

And I don’t think I have ever been so grateful for keto as I was today… hoping and praying I will avoid his fate in my future.

:metal::metal::metal::metal::metal:

(Empress of the Unexpected) #130

I have cautiously backed off.

(John) #131

I answered that brilliantly in post 13.

(Running from stupidity) #132

One of multiple brilliant answers, clearly

#133

You’d better be careful Heather. The keto police will be all over you if you disagree with them.
Their way is the only way.

#134

As for having the thread locked, I’m surprised it took you that long to come up with the idea.
It doesn’t surprise me however, that the keto police would want to close it down.

#135

This debate was well under way by then John. As usual in this thread, you missed the point entirely!

EDIT – changed the wording, so as not to cause offense.

#136

Like I said. They will target you if you dare to have different ideas.

(Running from stupidity) #137

Yeah, viciously suggesting some reading. Some people, right? Bastards.

(John) #138

Yes, I probably had something else I was doing when the thread was first started so that I couldn’t post right away. I do have other activities besides posting here.

How long have you been tracking my point-missing, to be able to state that I always miss the point entirely? Are you sure I didn’t, at some time in my life, actually get the point? Or partially get the point? I need to see some charts.

(Jane) #139

(Robert C) #140

This kind of reply is why this thread should be locked. Newbies should not be ignoring John (or anyone else) because we all should be coming to the table with a civil helpful tone. Badmouthing someone’s entire body of work here is simply unacceptable.
