Hi all! I hope this post is in the right place…I marinated a steak in MD 20/20 habanero lime thinking the alcohol and carbs would cook off leaving the flavor. It turned out weirdly sweet however, which concerned me. I can’t find anything specific about this online. Did I accidentally add carbs to my innocent steak?

Yes, you added a few carbs… That stuff is really quite sweet, I am assuming. No huge deal though - the alcohol definitely goes away and I doubt there was very much of the MD consumed with the meat, actually.
