Cooked versus Raw nutrition facts

(Sam Moschettieri) #1

Hey guys, so when calculating fats in something like bacon, if the package says 5g of fat, is that accurate once cooked? With so much grease left in the pan, does the bacon slice still contain 5g of fat?

Why are you counting fat?

To answer your question, figure raw unless the label says cooked, but it usually won’t since the fat left isn’t as basic as raw vs cooked, it also depend on how it’s cooked.

Just cook an egg in the left over juice and it will absorb it all.

Problem solved.

or save the nectar for later use in other cooking.
