I personally would be visiting the drug store (or chemist, as they are properly called).

if pain does not let up by tomorrow and you still don’t have a bowel movement, take yourself to a doctor or urgent care and have them do an x-ray to see what’s going on. it could be a burst appendix! happened to me last year out of nowhere and my symptoms were the same as yours. hadn’t been able to go #2 in a few days, had bad stomach pain, and also started having trouble walking until i went to the doctor and figured out what was going on

Tried laxatives? Leafy greens, some berries, things with loads of fiber, coffee, some sugar subs like they have in gum work too. I sometimes have similiar thing when going off or on keto as stomach re-adjusts.

Just be careful if you choose to use laxatives. You want to get things back to normal without wiping out your gut flora. Otherwise you’ll end up constipated again.

My husband and I both really struggled with keto constipation for a whole year. Then I read Jason Fung’s book, wanted to try his suggestiion about using vinegar before each meal and at bedtime, but didn’t want to harm my tooth enamel. So I bought apple cider vinegar supplements and started using them instead. Within 2 weeks, the keto constipation completely disappeared, and I actually had to back off on the vinegar supps because they were giving me diarrhea. I don’t know if vinegar supps will help anyone else, but both my husband and I were taking laxatives daily until we started them, and it worked for both of us. Plus the vinegar supplements lower insulin, which helps lower weight, lowers blood sugar and keeps it more even. So good all the way around!

You could try making a flaxseed keto bread (Google keto flaxseed foccacia) or chia pudding, or magnesium citrate.

Try some Konsyl origional formula. Its a daily Psyllium fiber. I just mix a Tbs with water. My husband mixes it with Crystal light and drinks it 2 to 3 x a day. He sometimes struggles with constipation. Hes been on Keto since Nov 2018. And has lost 60#! Really helps! Our Dr suggested 3 x a day while on Keto.

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #12

For people on a ketogenic diet, constipation is usually the result of a low sodium intake. Recent studies have indicated that the healthiest intake range is 4-6 grams/day of sodium, which translates to 10-15 g/day of sodium chloride (table salt). That amount includes salt already present in food, so don’t be too intimidated.

I find that if I keep my intake in the proper range, constipation is not a problem. Not enough salt on a given day, I have a problem the next day. On the other hand, don’t overdo the salt, either (I’m trying not to be too specific, here, lol).

…Or ease up on the fiber.

First question is what have you been eating…
When I went all beef in January I didn’t poo for 10 days.
If you are eating mainly meat then there is vastly less waste.

Are you back eating some veggies?

Thanks everyone, I have been increasing salt as about a month ago got some leg cramps . More meat lately . Chicken wings, beef, not as much cauliflower and brocolli the last few weeks and I ate too much cheese Thursday Friday and Saturday . ( think the cheese is the problem )
