My first post here and I am 3 weeks into keto.
I got my Keto Mojo tester on Saturday afternoon and tested 3.4 and glucose was 4.7. Day 2 fasted K - 2.1 G 5.1. Two hours after breakfast - K 1.2 G 5.0. After dinner K 2.1, G didn’t test. Day 3 (today) AM fasted 1.0 G 5.5. I felt really lightheaded so measured my blood pressure and it was crazy low - 88/57. I went to work and had a bottle of Gatorade, hoping it would help. There was no sugar free one available, so I had regular with 36 grams of sugar fully prepared that it will kick me out of ketosis. Had lunch at about 1PM, came home at 4 and tested K 1.6 and G 5.0. Does that make any sense? Ketones are higher than in the morning after a massive sugar hit? Also, I’m a bit concerned about my fasted glucose levels as it looks high. I’m fairly healthy person, 49 F, need to lose a few pounds. I am counting macros as well as calories and trying to stay at 20% protein and 70% of fat.
Any insights will be appreciated.
