Community Support Group

I would love to start a community Keto support group. I do not have any friends who are Keto and I am worried about the negative comments if I put up a post on the local community Facebook page. There are still so many people I know that think I am mad for going Keto. Has anyone else started a group and could give me some advice about the best way to go about it?

I started a local support group near St. Louis about 1.5 years ago. What I did was rent a hotel conference room for $100.00, invited a bunch of my Facebook friends, and I brought in a bunch of Keto foods like pizza, meat, fat bombs, etc. We had 18 people show up for the first one, and started doing quarterly meetings. Later on, other support community groups in the area found me and I found them, and they started participating together. Now, in my absence, they still continue on and seem to be thriving. We also use a Facebook Group to communicate with each other.

I don’t know if this information helps, but best wishes on your endeavor.

What area of the world are you from? Maybe others here will know people and the area that you can meet up with…

Thanks tdseest for your response. I like the idea of hiring a place, I am going to look into that. I live in a small town called Drouin, it’s in Victoria, Australia.
