Coconut oil, literally

I keep my coconut oil in my kitchen cabinet. We have had some unusually hot days this week. Now my coconut oil is liquid. Is this ok? Should I store in fridge? New, unopened jar. Ack.

I have a different brand (Costco/Kirkland). It says on the label that it will melt at 76f but does not need to be refrigerated. When it is cold it is very hard.

it’s all good
i think mine looks like that right now too

coconut oil just has a low melting temp…it may even solidify over night depending on how much the ambient temp cools

It’s normal for it to liquify when the room is warmer. Don’t worry, just use it the same.

Cool peeps! Thanks! Have my heart set on making some chocolate fast bombs with the coconut oil.
Yeah!

Perfectly fine. My husband read a piece by a woman who said she didn’t want to live anywhere her coconut oil was solid. HA! I prefer solid because I don’t like hot weather
