Cleaning without a dog

Normally, I just have my dogs lick the plates and silverware and we’re good with a normal cleaning, but for the next four months I’m in a crappy apartment with no dogs.

How in the name of all that is greasy am I supposed to clean anything? I keep trying to wash the dishes (also, no dishwasher), but it’s near impossible to remove all of the grease.

Put em in a tub and leave them out for the raccoons to lick clean??

This needs to go on the “Fifty Ways to Heal Your Liver” thread.

Actually, it’s not called that. I can’t remember what it’s called.

Reminds me of an old joke. A guy gets his meal in a restaurant, and then complains that his dishes are dirty. The waitress says “They are as clean as soap and water can get them.” She puts a plate down on the floor and calls, “Here Soap! Here Water!”
