Where did you find a Ham without sugar? My wife couldn’t find one, so she ended up doing a shoulder roast, which was delicious, so not complaining… just curious.

Around Christmas is the only time you can get an uncooked ham at the grocery store around here (Central PA, USA) and then cook it yourself. We used to get one for Schnitz & Knepp but the ham is the only part of that dish I would still eat. It’s never on display, you have to ask at the meat counter.

I believe that is the UK streaky bacon, not as fatty as american bacon

We have 2 basic types of bacon in the UK. Streaky, which is the same as USA bacon, and we have chop end bacon, which is more common in the UK at the moment.
