Y’all. I just bought some 70% cacao Lindt truffles. THEY. ARE. FANTASTIC.
They are also 4 net carbs per truffle (which doesn’t seem super high to me for chocolate). One is enough for me though. Really hits the spot.
Chocolate truffles
Get ready for all the people telling you not to eat that kind of stuff at all. But I think one piece is fine. I’ll have to try em’
I’m super prepaired because I know the higher the percentage the better, and 70 isn’t high. Plus apparently we’ve found out recently cacao is bad for you. I didn’t read into it because I rarely eat sweets. But this stuff was so much better than other dark chocolates I’ve found so I had to share
Anyone have any specific information on this? I’ve only heard the opposite. Over the years almost everything I eat has been pronounced ‘bad’ by one group or another.
edit: here’s a recent thread on chocolate. I haven’t read it all, but it sounds like a ‘make up your own mind’ sort of thing.
Chocolate and health
I smacked on 70% when I first started. As my sweet tooth became more sensitive, I kept upping the %. Now I do 90%. I cant quite do 100% plain, although with a shot of HWC as a chaser it’s pretty good.
I went from 90% to 99% Lindt and can’t go back to 90 now… It’s just too sweet as I can taste every grain of sugar.
Oh! Must try that. Can just about bear 100% chocolate, but it is a little bitter. Never tried a cream chaser though!
I think it’s less that it is bad and more that it is NOT particularly good for you (as has been pushed by all the candy companies).
