I’m not really a chocolate person anymore, but I have taken unsweetened chocolate, melted it and added some sweetener (swerve or monk fruit). I have been sugar free for almost 2 years. One bite of sugar and my face breaks out, so I avoid it like the plague!
Chocolate ? 70 to 80% ok a bit?
I added some of this stuff (the orange flavor, I LOVE orange and chocolate) on my Amazon wish list. Thank you!
I made the yummiest chocolate orange dessert a couple of weeks ago. 25g of 85% chocolate melted into 1/3 cup HWC and the fine grated peel of a small orange. Refrigerated it to set and then topped it with some hazelnuts that I had roughly chopped into halves/quarters and pan fried/caramelised in a butter, sea salt and truvia.
As luck would have it, a Trader Joe’s opened in my area just a month ago - they carry the Montezuma’s Absolute Black. I bought 4 bars of it. $2.69 per bar if I remember right.
I had to give it a try tonight so I broke off two small squares and had it with some tea. No sugar, no sweet taste at all, but not bitter either. Just smooth intense chocolate flavor with a welcome crunchiness from the cacoa nibs.*
Wonderful for a special treat on the occasional evenings with coffee. And with the fiber and micronutrients it’s like eating a health food supplement that just happens to taste luxurious.
-* Super dark non-sweet chocolate may not be for everyone but I like it.

Yep, I’m in the US.
I’ve always been a milk chocolate person, but dark chocolate has certainly grown on me since I’ve been doing keto.
I completely agree! I’ve been eating the odd square of 90% Lindt chocolate since I started keto 7 months ago. At first, it didn’t taste much like chocolate to me. Now that I’m used to it, I like it much more!
I agree from past experience with bourbon and other super-dark chocolates. I’ve cut back my drinking dramatically since I started keto - I think I have had 3 drinks in the past 8 weeks. But I like to sip my bourbon neat, and nothing like dark chocolate paired with the right bourbon (or a dry red wine, especially a cabernet).
