Checking in with all of you

I’ve been doing keto since January and am happy to say that I’ve settled into a 1 or 2 pound loss per month. This is so much better than the diet roller coaster I was riding for 20 years.

I’m reading “The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living” right now, and now some of the reasons for that roller coaster are becoming clear. I would try to stick with a program such as Weight Watchers, never losing anything after the first couple of weeks. Eventually, I would feel sick and so deprived, that I would just give up.

Even if I have the occasional cheat meal or cheat week (my cruise in Feb), I can easily get back on the keto horse and start again. No more roller coaster!

Thanks to all of you for sharing your stories and RECIPES! For me, keto is happy. Everything else is sad.

@Kathi_Kellenberger How are you doing now Kathi?

I’m doing well. I’ve added more intermittent fasting, one or two meals a day and no snacks. I was able to stay keto during this year’s cruise and several other trips. This is the life for me!!

Awesome! Keep it up! I just hit the lowest on the scale I have been since 2002 (fasted). I agree, this is the way of life for me too!

Congratulations! I am at my goal weight, but then I decided 10 more pounds won’t hurt! Then I really need to stop; I’m not a kid anymore!
