I walk past Charlie Chaplin’s birth place daily. There’s a busy street market there now.
His life was remarkable, his death was unusual!
Died on Christmas day 1977 and was buried in Corsier-sur-Vevey, Switzerland.
On 1 March 1978 Charlie Chaplin’s coffin disappeared!
It was found two-and-a-half months later, buried in a cornfield beside Lake Geneva and returned to Switzerland.

He lived that long? I had no idea. Wow!

He was certainly a great talent, and did a lot to establish the motion picture as an art form.
