Change of plans

In a previous post I mentioned that i was going to a bakery and if anyone lives in Melbourne Australia would understand today is a crappy day and we decided to go to the movies instead to watch Antman and Wasp. So my absolute problem food is Popcorn I loved everything about it. So today I have put in some Cabana, Cheese, olives. Are there any other suggestions. So I can stay focused on my snacks and not the popcorn.

Thanks

I take roasted salted nuts.

(Lorraine) #3

Macadamia nuts are my go to snack!

Thanks

Pork rinds. They have the crunchy, salty, savoriness of popcorn. Great movie snack.

#6

Bacon and cheddar are my go-to

I second the pork rinds! I took them one step further. I keep them in the bag, quickly pour in some apple cider vinegar and shake vigorously. Got to to it quickly or you just get a few well soaked pieces

I also like to use the vinegar that my pickled jalapeños come in. Gives them that extra little kick. I’ve recently started adding parmasean cheese to it too. Delicious. I’ve also been known to throw a can of black olives in there as well. I love black olives mixed with jalapeño vinegar. Mmmm Mm

Wait until it comes out on Netflix? Then you wont be tempted by the rustling of potato chip wrappers, and the slurping of ice-cream…lol.

It was a great Movie and I avoided the popcorn with the welcomed suggestion of Salted peanuts and because it was an intelligent food source I was able to stop after about 100g

Dried olives of all different flavors and textures and sizes

(less is more, more or less) #11

It’s true, but sneaking them in can be difficult, especially since some theaters now check bags.

(LeeAnn Brooks) #12

I have never been to one that checked bags.
Don’t think I’d be going to one if it did.

(Ashley) #13

When I’ve went recently I just told them I have a health condition and can’t do their items and they were fine.

#14

WHOOOOOAAA, don’t knock the ice cream!

(Debbie Wolthuis) #15

I have never been checked here in Australia. People walk in openly carrying Maccas and packet chips etc

#16

I live in Oakland, and one of the theaters downtown does bag checks… for weapons. Seriously. But just the one theater.

(Debbie Wolthuis) #17

Ok, fair enough. Do the confiscate food

(Doug) #18

BaconGun

You’ll have to leave that outside, Sir.

(Terence Dean) #19

You don’t honestly want me to believe that you’d smuggle that in to a movie theater?! :icecream:

Sunflower Seeds

W pork rinds ( if not wearing a loose jacket or sweatshirt )…

Just get a zip loc bag, You may have to “slightly” crush some. A lot easier than bringing in the Mac brand bag

Plus, they lay nice and flat in the zip loc

Then stuff, where you heart chooses or can
Best way I found , in the back

Where loose pre KETO cloths , if possible :joy:

Use that inch or more you lost on KETO for” packing rinds “:joy:

Remove prior to sitting down…If you sit and crush , just use later for pork chop coating or pork rind pancake mixture
