Not to my knowledge. Although hard aged cheese is usually the next best thing tolerated by lactose intolerant people. Like Parmesan Reggiano for instance. Make sure to avoid young, fresh cheese like ricotta, or fresh farmer type cheeses that’s aren’t fermented or aged. They have more lactose.
Carnivore diet and constipation
I know this thread is a bit old but, since I cut down on ground beef I noticed my constipation isn’t at bad. It’s strange even with steak I do not have as big of an issue as ground beef. Usually I do better with non red meats but I can definitely tell a difference with ground beef in particular and digestion. It got me wondering if anyone knows why ground beef could be a problem yet not let’s say something like steak?
I don’t know, I don’t have constipation problems regardless, and I eat ground beef on average 2-3 times a week. Are you truly constipated, or do you just not need to go to the bathroom. That seems to be a common issue with people on Carnivore, they assume they need to drop a certain number of BMs a day and when they don’t, they think something is wrong.
coffee caused constipation for me. remember that it’s still a plant.
fats reduce constipation. eggs are good.
heavy cream is ok but if you have issues with dairy, consider adding apple cider vinegar. that worked for me. Otherwise, just add ghee and salt to your coffee.
