Campbell’s Rethinks it’s Soup Ingredients

I found this article interesting because I feel like our group and the Paleo group are boycotting processed foods because of all the chemicals and seed oils in them.

This article lists which ingredients they have removed from their Chicken Noodle Soup formulation and what they have added.

I still wouldn’t buy it and eat it because of the pasta in it - just observing a positive trend.

If they’d removed the gluten from their roadhouse chili I would have eaten a boatload of it for a long time. Why they insist on putting grain proteins into chili is beyond me, given there are many other kinds of things that are thickeners that don’t have that. Well, I figured out my own recipe for chili recently that is divine, so I won’t even be tempted by their cheap cans anymore, gluten or not.

Still, it’s good to see that the market – people voting with their wallets – might encourage some better ingredients in mainstream products.

I agree! I’ve been voting with my wallet and wouldn’t mind seeing a few “convenience foods” with healthier ingredients. I don’t rely on them but I travel a lot for my job and sometimes compromises have to be made. I would prefer they weren’t so horrible!

I often say, what I would give if I could just order at McD like one could at say, In-N-Out – I’d like a triple bacon cheeseburger with a lettuce wrap please. I would actually eat there on occasion. (McD is 500 feet from my house, so…!)
