Hi all,
I stumbled upon Richard’s fasting calculator (http://blog.2keto.com/why-fasting-is-easier-for-some-people/) , and the caveat to its use is that once you have used up all free fatty acids already in circulation in your bloodstream, you can only ‘draw out’ 31.5 kCal per lb of body fat per day.
This was so interesting to me, but what I can’t seem to find is… if you know your Trig level, is there a way to calculate what the equivalent ‘calories’ in your bloodstream equate to?
Anybody have science on this? I know it’s not exactly apples to apples, but energy in the bloodstream measured via triglyceride must somehow be able to be converted to a ‘caloric’ number so we could use it as a ‘baseline’ for our first day of fasting… and theoretically how long we could ‘go’ in terms of days /hours fasting without feeling a drop in metaboloic rate.
Thanks for anybody helping me out here, sorry if already posted but I couldn’t find via searching
